    Anenome and Clownfish

I have one Black and White Ocellaris Clownfish in my 35 gallon cube which i'm working on turning into a reef tank. I've read that you can have clowns in small groups. Which i would like to do. Also i would like to add an anenome, in my research i found that the black and white clown will host...

    Bristleworms in Refugium

I was trimming my chaeto in my refugium the other day and noticed about 15 to 20 bristleworms in it, ranging from 1" to 3" long. I setup the refuge to create a safe harbor for pods to grow. Will bristleworms eat pods or do they just eat detritus.

maybe i've never had a problem with IO salt because i do not get it by the bucket. I buy mine in wholesale cases, brown boxes, with clear vacuum sealed bags marked (not for resale on them) very cheap at 30 dollars a case been buying it that way for quite awhile now

I guess that helps a little, but i still think theres to many what ifs, how did they cycle the tanks, its looks like they codemned everything in them from the beginning. It shows month 1 with all the creatures in it. So everything had to go through a cycle.

    Sure Grip Magnetic Powerhead Holder

I have a few of the power head holders from algae free and they are stronger magnets then they put in there cleaning magnets. I've has SW tanks now for 6 years and hated suction cups, seeing that you have to replace then every few years and they fall off all the time. whats rough is when algae...

    Salt discussion at MACNA

I would just like to say, you guys are all switching salts for one test done on it. To test salts like that you would need say 8 tanks for each type of salt. Each tank would have to have salt come from a different bucket of the same salt. Just like everything else, products do go bad...

    phosphate reduction

I have a refugium with chaeto in it, and it grows like a weed and is full of pods. The remora pro runs 24/7 i run it a little wet and get about a cup every 5 to 7 days. Nitrate never goes above 10 ppm, i would like to lower that to, but i do have a large bio load. I feed frozen krill and one...

    phosphate reduction

In my 75 gallon FOWLR I currently have a phosphate level of .5 ppm its been like for 4 to 6 weeks now. I tested the source water and it reads 0. I read somewhere that phosphate can establish in mature tanks. I have a HOB refugium with LS, LR, and Chaeto in it. The Chaeto is growing pretty...

Stray current found in return pump (About 1V AC)

ground probes are good for protecting you, but all they do is complete the circuit and allow whatevers faulting a way to get to ground. There will still be current running through the tank. Its better to find out what piece of equipment failed and replace it or try to clean it to fix the problem

    aqua remora pro breakin

I have one also, bought it brand new, started producing skimate right away. Was loud at first but quieted down after about a week. Still quite noisy though. I have to keep my collection cup pretty high or it just fills up with water. Where do you have your cup? Do you have an overflow...

    Calcium test kit

I use this test kit for my calcium level. You might have a bad test kit. Shake it up a little bit, then test and see what happens. I bought a couple of bad test kits from my lfs, so i started buying them online from dr fosters and smith. Or any place that sells more of them. Bring it back to...
