I do add a bit of salt in my water changes and I do feed them bloodworms.
I'm basically just asking if anyone has seen this on their fish before.
Thank you again
Hey everyone,
I noticed that one of my platys has a strange growth near her anal fin/coming out of anus/urogenital area... Could they be embryos??
She's been fine and is currently swimming all around like normal.
I have had her for almost 6 months in a very established tank. She has been...
My platy's bellies didn't get really huge but they were big enough to tell they were pregnant. Its easy to get used to the size of them if you see them everyday.
Are you keeping them separate or all in the same tank? If they are altogether, some fry could have been eaten.
I moved the female that just gave birth and so those babies (11 of them) are in the breeder box. | don't know what I'm going to do about my next batch yet. I hope she waits one week so I can put her in the breeder box but I don't know if she wants to wait that long haha
you might have more but they could be hiding or could have been eaten by the mom. leave the little guy separate for a week and will get big enough to not fit in a mouth. feed finely ground flakes and it should be okay.
one of my plays just had babies yesterday so I'm right there with you :)
Thank you!! They are adorable. I did give them a little bit of crushed up flakes but I dont know if they fully ate it.
I also have two females and I think my other one is about to give birth soon too... so many babies!!
I got a supposedly pregnant platy and got her over three weeks ago and don't know if she was actually pregnant now....
Can anyone help me out??
Thank you!!! :)
