    Temporary "OFF" timer.

    I'll probably make something up. The old-fashioned 24 hr timer is an interesting idea, but I think the time period would be too variable - anywhere from 0 to 60 mins. I could use a BRS (big red switch) to interrupt power and put a delay-start relay in line, serially.

    Temporary "OFF" timer.

    I am trying to find a 120VAC timer whereby I can "press the button" and have it turn OFF my filter for 20 minutes to an hour... exact time not critical. I want to use this when feeding... then have the filter turn back on after a while. All I can find is timers that go ON for a period of time ...

    Or place your air pump above the top level of your water. Without an opening below the level of your water - gravity will not draw out your water.
