So the haps' get about 10 inches and the auls' get 4 to 6? And the auls color up as well as the haps? What other fish do you recommend with beautiful multi color as the taiwans? Also does anyone love sunshines and sunrise cichlids? Which would you rec?

I always add my fish by feeding the current fish and then pull a dark cover over the tank with the lights off in that specific room... Pitch black keeps them calm. Then they all wake up together... ;)

When do they color up? Some at the lfs are black striped (taiwans) and they are about 3 inches long and have no color. Just silver with black stripes. The blue ahli is the same size with absolutely no blue. Is it because they are young or gender.

Demasoni are beautifully blue and light and have a personality so to speak... Is say 15 to 20 in a 55 gal is perfect. They also only get 3 inches big.

I suggest making sure they are 1 to 3 ratio of m-f and that you actually have more. I had them and they are very good at kicking each other's a--.
