By the way, the two fish that were killed off were female and male. The bully is most definitely a male. It was so strange to see it go after the female so aggressively.

Thanks, i should have done this. i went there first but didn't like their selection. i'm now kicking myself. i'm wanted to fancy myself as "better" than that.

my tank is pretty well decorated with lots of little "territories" and space for everyone. I first let the two new ones that are now dead sit in the water for 15 minutes to get acclimated and then put them in one at a time. i did switch some decorations around.

The two that got killed were metriclima lombardoi and melanchromis blue johanni. the one thats killing everything is some type of peacock i think. someone said was it a auratus and no its definitely not.

One of the fish was just a bit smaller, the other larger than the one that killed them.

I've been doing it every month with no real issue, but I realize that beneficial bacteria builds up on the filter and when you replace it it takes that away.
