- I just adopted Dads 2 Goldfish living in a 10 gal tank. 1 Common & 1 Fintail. Bought my 40 gal tank & started cycling it &
Added fish couple weeks later. Use tap water with Microbe-Lift Extreme & special blend. Water changes every 2 to 5 days & vacuum rocks. Use API Master Kit, HG&KH, Free & Total ammonia test kit. 40 gal has Marineland filter, bio wheel, carbon & micro-mesh filter. 2 bubble stones, river rocks round pea sized. Both had Anchor worm & 1 also had cooton wool. I added Lice & Anchor worm from Microbe-Lift. I removed the cotton wool from my Fintail 3 times. No visible disease now. Treating the anchor worm for 1 more week. Then "Special Blend" or Koizyme for preventative.
I feed them granuals & pellets soaked in garlic water twice a day. Peas every 5 to 7 days. This is a simple version of my fish care schedual.
