I have two, ones about a year old and looks just like yours does now and has most of his life while the other is about 8 months and has always had the bright yellow
I just know that eels are great escape artists and people take precautions to prevent them from getting out. And is the sand or fine gravel a must if I have lots of other hiding spots?
I would like to buy a peacock eel but I'm not quite sure how to prevent him from getting out. I have a 29 gallon tank with a HOB filter and a heater. Any suggestions would be great, and so would pictures!

I hate to say it but I don't have a test kit (I'm just a teenager without a job, my parents buy my things) the tank is well established and I haven't had any problems yet, I do about 30-50% water changes every week.
So my bumble bee cichlid got himself suck in a little cave a couple days ago and since I got him out he hasn't been eating and I notice last night that his fins are VERY beat up especially his tail. I don't know if he's just getting picked on now (he was the leader/toughest of the tank) or if...
