    My unphotogenic aquarium

Hey,Hey, just my opinion, tank looks fine but lacking a little green. Maybe something as simple as a little Java Moss stuffed under some of the rocks?? Very low maintenance and it grows quick and fills on nice. No planting, just attach a piece to a couple rocks, stuff it under the rocks and it...

Is it safe? (Silicone on new tank question!)

Boy, for Fluval, that’s bad quality control. I’d be very concerned, it looks like a “miss” on the caulking bead which should be a continuous strip of the silicone. 33 gallons is a fairly nice size tank, and the one you got is some $$( the Flex). Where did you buy it from? To me, I would be a...

    Snail

Yes Betta is more fragile than the snail.. snails are pretty hardy, fish not so much. Betta’s are sometimes pretty fragile. Bag it, and wrap with a towel to try to stop the shaking around as much as you can, should be fine.

    Strange behavior and a WORM!!

Well, call me out, but I’ve owned Dogs, Labs for appx. 30 years, not that I had issues, but years ago, I had to “de-worm” one. Had some kind of worm that apparently came from roaming around in the soil/ yard taking him for walks.. If the plants were grown in soil, I wonder if this thing came...

    10 gallon stocking

Danio, just for comparison, I got: 2 black mollies 2 male guppies and 1 female 4 neons 2 Rasboras 2 orange platys A couple of mystery snails and in the front, live Java moss Using a Fluval aqua clear 20 which does a great job. Also do water changes twice per week, a gallon or two each time. It’s...

    Filter Replacement

Give specs. on the filter, what brand, model number, what you got? Normally you would not replace anything in 3 weeks… Give some spec’s on what you have and tank conditions. Cycled tank should not have a filter clogged in a couple weeks. What’s you feeding schedule?? The cartridges just filter...

The tanks are tripping my breaker.

Jacky, hope you get some “sparkies” (electricians) chiming in. It’s a good possibly that’s what’s happening, meaning you are at maximum capacity for the breaker rating, 15, 20amps depending on what the room breaker is rated for. It’s all about adding amps up with what everything is drawing in...

Colin, they are slightly toxic, I’ve never had any reaction from them, but if I’m messing with the tank or frogs, I always wash my hands good after being in the tank. No touching eyes or lips! Not like Dart Frogs. I got three of these. Rocks, Java moss, waterfall filter, easy to maintain, no...
