Yeah. you dont want the water crashing down on the fuge and stirring everything up. Also, all the bad stuff will be hitting tje fuge first. You shpild skim forst and split the return to head to the fuge separately.

I agree. I too breed super lace veils zebras in a 10 gallon. I too use sponge filters in all my 10 gallons.

Well, I can't tell you what to do sith fish you have but I breed black Moscow guppies. I once had a trio of guppies with over 30 babies but my sponge filters are very cycled. Filters are key and stay on top of water changes. 2.5 gallon tanks are tricky cause too much water parameters change can...

You can prob do a trio or more. Just make sure you have more females than males so the stress level is low.
