Saw your post and thought you might be the ones to ask. I've got a Tiger Barb with a large belly. I thought maybe it's just a swollen stomach but it the belly is growing large but not out to the sides. Could she possibly have eggs? Any ideas?

I have a sailfin gibbiceps too, be warned they get pretty big, when you get enough money, make sure you get a 55gal or more (preferably more). Just because of thier size and since you've got two you'll need room for them to swim. I've only had mine for 8 months in a 55 gal and he's just over 6...

How about danios or white clouds? They don't get too big and they love currents! My boyfriend has both and they usually swim in the middle section to the top of the tank in thier groups and play with the current.

Sounds more like a swim bladder problem than overfeeding. I've had angelfish with large stomachs from overfeeding and they had no problem going up and down in the tank. More than likely (and I've seen a beta I once had as a kid) it is the swim bladder if it's having trouble swimming down. My...
