Although it stayed in the same spot I placed it about 4 weeks ago, it's behavior has been really weird!
I have my lights (4 T5's) turn on and off in a way that mimics the sun-rise and sun-set:
7:00 A.M. - Black lights
7:30 A.M. - Blue Lights
8:00 A.M. - White Lights
They turn off like...
Yes, unfortunately I've already taken out 6 large rocks that it was attached to... I'll slowly add the rock to my 29 gallon tank once i think all of it's dead and then add the rocks back to my 75 gallon. I've had my tank up and going for a year now and never seen this stuff. One day it just...
So I'm currently fighting this fast-growing, green, vine-looking stuff (I think it's called Caulerpa Algae) in my 75 gallon tank (My main tank). It's been a constant battle trying to manually pick it off the rocks everyday. Having no success whatsoever, I've come to the conclusion that I should...
When I bought these, I was told they were Magicians. The same person then came back and said he thinks he may have been mistaken. Does anyone know what the name of these are? P.s. the lights just came on when I took this picture so some of them were still opening up.
Thanks in advance and...
Hello everyone!
I've had three saltwater tanks (10, 29, and 75 Gallon Tanks) set up and functioning well now for about a year. I hate to say it, but this whole time, I've had no idea on how to calculate exactly how much calcuim to add to get to a desired amount. I would simply take a bucket...
Hey everyone!!! I've recently gotten four new additions to my tank that I'd like to know the names to. I believe the Anemone is called Purple Tip Anemone. And I was told the Zoas were called Magicians, which I later found out they wern't. Any help in Identifing any of there would be VERY helpful...
Yes they are ugly!!! Lol For that reason, I think their best kept in a sump to consume any algea. I buy, sell, and trade a lot of corals locally, and you'd be surprised on how many people ask me if they can buy some from me. I about 100 or so, so I just give a few away every now and then.
Yep it is!!! Thanks so much!!! Apparantly they are good cleaners. I think i got one or two from purchasing a rock or something and now i have a ton. When I woke up the other morning, the lights were still off on the tank. I counted all the ones I could see and counted 43. I know theres more too
yeah, that's the problem... You can't really walk into a college course and say "Well, I read it on the internet so it must be true". I personally have read enough positive comments from people who have used it, to use it myself. I am on the otherhand still looking for a clear "aquarium safe"...
Hey guys... I recently plumbed my saltwater tank to my sump, and soon realized that the two PVC pipes going into my "Show Tank" stick out like a sore thumb with my black background. I've been doing research on solutions and I keep running across Krylon Fusion. A lot of people swear it's safe...
Hello, I have absolutely no Idea how I got these little critters but I had one of them before I even had live rock. I only had live sand. If someone could identify what this is and if it's reef safe, i'd greatly appreciate it. They've multiplied like crazy and only come out at night. From...
Thanks Grizz. I did ask about feeding and purchased the exact same frozen food they have been feeding it at the store. I'm just afraid that if he doesn't host soon, I may come home to a missing fish because he was mistaken as a threat
