I think my main problem is I have too many fish in the tank. As soon as I take about 50 to my local aquarium shop, they just have about 40 more babies. I assume platies like to live in big communities but it's obviously having an effect on the water.
it doesn't matter what I do - do a 50% water change each week or use clear water products, my tank water is just getting cloudier and cloudier.
My problem is that I have platies and they just breed and breed. The water quality is fine but I can't see the fish! I have the temperature at 27...
I've had my tropical fish tank with platies in for nearly a year and now, the past two weeks it has suddenly gone cloudy. I've done 50% water changes and tested the water - no problem so need help on how to clear it?
I have live plants and snails to keep the algae down.#Any suggestions?

The filter in my 25l tank keeps clogging up. I have to clean it every day. So I reckon I need a better filter - have you any suggestions for this small tank?
Thanks!

Thanks very much for all your help.

thanks very much.
One other question for all you experts - I clean my tank regularly and do a 25% water change every week...
Thanks for your help and advice
Your advice is invaluable. I have found someone who keeps tropical fish who will take 10 of my babies and she knows someone else who may take some. Both fishkeepers who care and will look after them. Fish stores are very limited round here but I will try again to...
I am a fairly new tropical fish aquarium keeper and have just two adult platies now after being told when I bought them that they did not need heat but could live at 16 degrees C. The other ones got white spot and died which was distressing. But now I heat the tank, have a few plants and rocks...
