    So guys...and gals (of course!!)

Another reason its demoralizing is companies have learned to do more with less, its a double bind and its ultra competitive out there. These guys are right , never give up. Somtimes good things happen when we least expect it. Keep your spirits up chap

    Gourami I.D. Please :)

maybe a pearl but almost certainly a blue. They can get up 3.5 inch and are peaceful, hardy, and entertaining. He looks like a male ( males should not be kept with other males, and if kept w females, they need at least 4 to avoid agression ) regardless of what exact type, these air breathers...

Also flower shrimp r great ( I really dont know if they r just another name for vampires ) but as an anecdote ; mine camp out near the filter inlet letting the food come to them those r some smart shrimp. First tank startup

Good point, I forgot to consider ur tank size, but if u can find it cheap it may still be worth it. Basically take ur time for the initial setup, there is no such thing as too much planning. Btw, have u ever seen a dutch aquarium? If not, I highly recommend viewing a gallery, I promise, you...

    So much to learn

Of course retailers are going to recommend you add tons of fish but I'd say about two dozen, why ? Cause 1: it will give cut down the bio load 2: everyone will have their own space which will reduce agression 3: its gonna be hard to track the health of 80 individual fish and finally : too many...

    First tank startup

The amonia levels will die down naturally once the good bacteria starts to take off, I dont use any water chemistry products ( besides tap water conditioner ). also since u havent added fish yet, consider replacing that gravel with black aquarium sand, it absorbs light , puts the visual focus on...

    new uk member hi

U can tie a snug rubberband around the base of the plant and attach a small pebble ( 1 that has decent weight ) and bury it in the substrate.

    New set up

Looks great, I personally would add more plants ( silk ) to make it more visually dynamic . A 90gal tank is begging for that "live artwork" feel. Check out some dutch aqurium galleries for ideas. Its looks cool tho, I like the stand too.

Hello everyone. I need info on flower shrimps please

I got two of these dudes and the info I researched before hand varied greatly. Any special considerations for their care? Ive heard they turn a blue color when they get older , that would be sweet.
