Assuming you'll have the same photo period for each tank, you'll be able to only need one solenoid. After the solenoid, you'll need a separate Needle valve for each tank. The needle valve will be what controls volume into each tank.
I have a tri-split, 3 nv/bubble counters feeding 3 tanks...
Dirt substrate, or monthly replacement of root tabs. Declor any water you put in the tank, no direct sunlight. (algae)
The setup is less than ideal. But they can survive. It will be a fish deathtrap, so if you don't intend to put fish into it, I say give it a try!
I had crypts survive in...
Look up Nitrogen Cycle Aquarium.
Stocking, visit aqadvisor.com Overstocked tanks lead to fish that are stressed, and you will have unexplained deaths, daily/weekly.
Cleaning. Never clean 100% of your tank at the same time. You're essentially killing off your Nitrogen Cycle.
Welcome to...
3rd on aquaclear. All the filters you listed filter from back to front. Are easy to *clog* and the unit bypasses the filter media too easily (IMO)
Aquaclear filters bottom to top, forces water thru the media, while it also has a bypass, I find the media takes a lot longer before being...
IMO, personal preference unless you're trying to accomplish something. Suppose knowing what you need to accomplish will be the difficult thing. :D
Surface agitation increases oxygen exchange.
Do you like waterfall noise? Or quiet ? Place bar above/below water line.
Are you trying to...
Properly cycling a tank can take as long as 30-40 days.
I am beginning to believe, those individuals who report 10 day cycle, (whether they realize it or not), have something in the tank that came from an established tank.
Since everything in your tank is brand new, you never had a chance at...
I also recently did a Fishless cycle and am in day 29 now I think. Couple questions:
1) Did anything in your tank come from an established tank? (Do you know where the plant came from?)
2) What else is in the tank? (Picture?) Mostly curious how much surface area you have in the tank.
I have found, needle valves are a consumable. Meaning they work ok at first, then go downhill from there! I'm currently having major issues keeping a steady bps from one day to the next (each off/on cycle) I hadn't considered to mess with the working pressure though.
Meaning, the regulator...
The large knob BEHIND the gauges is the main valve, main valve needs to be wide open. there is a knob INFRONT of the two gauges, that control the working presure.
For picture in your head. Move the two triangles on the left over to the right, and for the moment forget about the extra 5x11 between the left triangles, you now have a square surface area of 40"+11" (55) x 11"+11+5 (27) 55length, x 27 depth by 20 height. This is much bigger than any 55 or...
Spray bottle with water. Spray on the components and look for bubbles. Add a drop of dish soap will make bubbles easier to spot, but air pushing through water may be enough for you to detect.
Also, depending on the bubble counter, some bubble counters have build in check valves.
You'll wish to get an idea of how much co2 is in the tank. Either a drop checker, or there is a graph, using ph and kh will tell how much co2 is in the tank.
Drop checker requires a solution, and low range ph testing fluid.
Graph requires you can test for ph and kh (gh?) in the tank.
Other tips.
Sand does not mix well with your AC50. (Or any mechanical impeller.) If you disturb the sand, insure the pump is off. Also, do not have the pickup tube super close to the sand bottom.
Sand finds its way into the impeller, and acts like sandpaper in there.
