I have been using API stress coat plus bit it doesn't say anything about ammonia. Does prime neutralize ammonia?

I also never realized what an expensive hobby it is...and all for a few 80 cent fish...lol!

One of the mollys was looking like he had ick or fungus so I added some salt and raised the temp a couple of days ago..he is acting normal again now and white stuff is gone. Will keep up the salt and heat for a while tho incase it was ick. The other two have been fine...also, I am careful not...

I recently set up a 20 gallon tank and used the filter and gravel from my old 5 gallon to speed up the cycle. The old tank had a leak so I had to cycle the new tank with fish in. My readings are now ammonia .25, nitrite 0, nitrate 5. It seems like no matter what I do, I can't keep the ammonia...
