What is the diameter of the lamp? Although the tank may be doable, it will likely not be very practical. The size appears to be too small to accomodate any fish, unless the diameter is larger than it seems. You will have to be careful with the heater to be sure that it...
Nice job. Those are some great looking fish. As for the bloodworms. I find that if I float the cube, it's more fun for me to watch and it seems like there is less waste since the thawed out worms aren't floating everywhere if the fish can't get to them fast enough.
Lonewolfblue has some good suggestions.
Keep in mind that just about every tank will have evaporation. A combination of water changes and periodic topping off will combat that. In addition, I am not sure how hot your pendant light gets, but a flourescent light strip may give off less heat and...
Ditto, I have a canister and HOB in my 29 and two filters (XP3 and Eheim wet/dry) in my 55. I prefer a canister to biowheel because I can hide all the components under the tank.

By the way, great review!
Actually, it I did it in a few hours. I did this when i had the tank in the office. I did not have anywhere to put the fish, so I drained the tank down to about 3 inches of water and was very careful to make sure nothing fell into the tank (trim pieces/silicone). Good luck!
Sometimes I think that weird things only happen to me. Just yesterday morning, noticed that one of my angelfish was stuck in a plastic plant. At first I thought as Codefox suggested, that the angel was sick and drifted into the plant. I gently moved the plant aside and the angelfish quickly...
Replacing the top frame is not hard work, just a pain in the rear. Basically, what I did was to run a long razor between the old trim and the glass, both on the outside and inside of the tank. Then, I pulled off the trim in sections (since it broke easily). I slid my fingers between the frame...
