:| Thanks to Allivymar. I believe that Old Tank Syndrome is the root cause. My tap water is very hard GH of 16 and a KH of 6-8 with a PH of 8.2 After reading the article I checked the tank was at ph of 6.6 with a KH of 2. I have done two 30 percent water changes and a small amount of PH...- fisshy
