My toadstool's once large have several wrinkles or folds until they open fully after the lights have been on for a period of time. They only way mine reproduced was by dropping small toadstools of the side of the main coral. not sure it that helps?
hey just noticed my false perc breathing with much labor and laying on the bottom of the tank. So i thought maybe something in the tank was array but i tested and ended with the following results.
PH 8.3
nitrate o ppm
ammonia 0 ppm
nitrite 0 ppm
Temp 77F
Salinity 1.021 which is a little low...
Run the skimmer as soon as you get it. It will need some break in time along with you will need to fine tune it a bit for a good skimming action. Agreed that the ASM is better. not sure if you are a do it yourself person but you can make better skimmers for less, just a thought though.

A won pro will help it has a digital control that sits outside the tank to keep heatrs from nuking your tank. heres a link to what i am talking about.
look around for price i have found place for $30 for a 150watts but heres a link for a pic of it...
sailfert are nice due to the fact most not all of them use count the drops or simple formula to caculate the exact number of what your testing. and takes the color guessing game out of testing. and your right alot of test go from zero and then 20 or 30 which doesnt help much.
