The first of the fry have hatched! I can see about 15 of them. It is Day 2 of the 3 day hatching period for these rainbows, so I hope to see a few more. They are tiny, clear, and hard to photograph. The only visible body parts I can see is the eyes and yolk sac.

Feeder fish live in a crowded environment only to be eaten alive. The goldfish and minnows that die like this are just to the misfortune that they are cheap and not very colorful. I would not be able to handle my favorite fish do the same. However, if they became easier to breed and cheaper...

I would reccomend a Paddlefin Wrasse. Got along fine with my tomato clown, and you wouldn't believe how much evil can be packed into a Tomato clownfish kept solitary for 6 years.
