How big a tank for 21 fish?

Well minimum size tank for a goldfish is 30g or 113L, beyond that you will have temperature and filtration issues. You will need 2-3gallon per inch for adult size on a goldfish, Which roughly translates to 25 cm and that is just for the goldfish.

    Pregnant Glofish? or...

Looks fine to me, My white skirts do the same thing. But watch for a few days if you are worried. These are usually tough little buggers. I have a few that are about 4 years old and the ones I had before were about 7 when I lost them.

Disinfecting Aquarium Sand with Pool Chlorine

Yes you can bleach is. The biggest issue you will have is it rinse it as best you can and then soak it in Prime. Set it up cycle it and try again.

    Pregnant Platy Advice

Personally I would never have taken her out. I have livebearers and if the babies make it I have more fish and if not no skin of my back. That said with the community I have in my 55g I have had 3 babies make it in the last 5 years. Males will always bother females on the regular

    Whats wrong?!?!

Actually bristlenose plecos need at 30+ gallons so like 113 liters. Stop feeding so often. You may need to cut it down to every other day. That bioload is huge for a such a small tank especially an uncycled tank. The wisteria you have in there is a great idea it is fast growing and will suck up...

    Fish stocking

What are your parameters? Ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate. It is sounding like a bacterial bloom which is normal, and I am assuming you are didn't do a fishless cycle. The only worrying thing is the smell. Do not change the filter cartridge just shake it out in a bucket of dirty fish water don't...

New glass aquarium 75 gallon mistake

Really if you do a fishless cycle and a couple of good water changes should get rid of it. Windex isn't the worst thing ever. My kids decided to help me clean one day and they got windex in my tanks! I just did a couple of quick water changes and none of my fish even seemed to notice.

    36 Gallon stocking ideas?

Just like Sara said skirts and corys need bumped up, and the skirts are very nippy but tend to be less so in the the presence of a good size school.

    New tank, muddy

How did you add your water? did you use paper towels news paper to defuse the flow while filling? How many times did you fill and empty. After almost 10 years of dirting tanks once in a while you will find a tank may need to emptied and filled several times before clearing out completely. It's...

    How to prepare my water

You can also add anacharis, amazon swords, crypts, vals and wisteria all do fairly well in low tech tanks. The strips are pretty crap you would be better off with an API master kit they are expensive but are accurate. I dose PPS-Pro for all of my tanks. I have city water but living in farm...

    Is this stock ok?

Gouramis and angels are not going to be good companions. Both have a tendency for aggression, and can be very territorial. Your tank size doesn't give enough room for them both to have their own space. I wouldn't worry to much over the livebearers. My angels took out any babies I had and I...

White Algae or White Mold on Filter

It doesn't look particularly worrying. It is most likely a mold or fungus of some type. It may have been the rescape of the tank when you took the UGF out. I had it on one of my biowheels once, but I haven't used biowheels in about 20 years so I am totally going off my memory. It may just take...

    New 36 gallon bowfront..high ph?

Don't use chemicals to mess with your pH. Seriously you are looking at a recipe for disaster on that. You are better off to have consistent parameters. If it is really important to do it, you would be better off mixing your water with RO/DI water. But either way stability is the more important...

    Got a strange ich question

So I haven't added any new fish to my tank for roughly a year, and I am seeing what looks like ich on 2 of my cardinal tetras. I am at a total loss. Is this even possible? Tanks parameters are: 0ppm ammo 0ppm nitrite 20ppm nitrate (I am lucky to get it down that far even heavily planted) Temp...
