It's somewhat close to the sand and my filter always picks up some sand but It never puts out sand an never has caused a clarity problem. For some reason the water had almost completely cleared up over the past couple of days.

I know it's bad isnt it! It's weird because I haven't changed anything an it just got really cloudy like this. I haven't messed with sand since about five weeks ago and after the sand got stirred, it cleared up after it settled in about 1 day. I haven't seen the mantis digging or throwing sand...

It has 1 mantis shrimp and 1 damsel fish. It's Been stocked for almost 4 weeks now and I haven't had any clarity problems until just within the last couple of days. I have the live rock and an aqueon quiet flow HOB filter, and a heater. Here is a picture if it helps. Thanks for the help

For reason, my tanks water is very cloudy. The ammonia, nitrate, and nitrite, are all all at 0. I have a filter that is rated higher than my tank and I have live rock in it as well. Why is it so cloudy and how do I fix it?

I haven't adde any salt to it yet. When I set it up I used actually ocean water and lowered it to the correct specific gravity. It's not gas cycled. Not really sure what that is. For a filter, I'm using an aqueon quiet flow rated for up to a 25 gallon tank I think. The tank have had fish in it...

I am actually using a chemical test kit and the tank is not covered at all. It would have pretty good airflow. So is 8.2-8.4 about right? And how important is it? And ph doesn't affect water clarity does it? Thanks

I own one of these actually. Very neat to watch and easy to take care of. I have the zebra mantis (largest of all the mantis shrimp). It builds itself a nice little burrow and sticks it's eyes out and just watches everything all the time

Sorry if this is misplaced. I have a couple pieces of corral in my tank and I'm not really sure why, but one of the pieces has started looking kind of gray and has cob web looking things on it. Is it dying? If so why? How to i fix it and can I still save it?

There are these weird looking white worm kinda thing coming out of my live rock. Why is it? Has anybody else seen this before or know what it is? Here's a picture

I fed my mantis shrimp a fresh water guppy that was apparently pregnant and the shrimp spit out the babies. Now one of the babies has survives many hours in a saltwater tank. Did it some how convert to saltwater? Is that even possible and has anyone actually seen it before?

Finally got it into my tank. Just fed it a pregnant guppy and the shrimp started spitting out live guppy babies. Now there are like five live guppies swimming around. I'm surprised they're still alive after 15 minutes
