i got mine at lowes, along with some clip on light fixtures for my 55 gallon, cost me 46 dollars for 120 watts of lighting. the bulbs had a 6700k rating.
Is it better to have a natural style habitat, or any style, specifically for fancy guppies(i know they'll breed like crazy, im just wondering whats better for them and what they'll breed faster in)
i'm doing a completely different DIY hood in the next couple days. its gonna have foil spray glued to the top of it, and all around the inside of it. it should give me twice as much light, and along with that, im gonna be installing some LED night lights as well...
as far as the puffer goes...
well, the one indian dwarf puffer thats left killed his 4 tank mates, so thats why he's alone... i think im gonna do a natural style tank with like, wild looking fish... no bright colors for once...
I started off my day, looking at 5 gallon desk tank, wondering what i should do, i figured i'd rebuild it.
Here are the specs:
Tank And Filter:
5 Gallon tank Kit from Wal mart
Wal mart spec filter rated for 15 gallons
Lighting:
10w screw in into stock hood
(soon to upgrade to 20-25w)...
i bought a 55 with stand, light, substrate, 2 filters, tons of rock and deco for 65 dollars. 300 dollars sounds like a complete rip off. specially seeing as how you can buy a full 29 set up at wal mart for 75.99.
i hate guppies. theyre over running my 55 gallon tank. BUT, i do have a 10 gallon just for fancy guppies... and congrats. any special kind of guppy or is it just a regular bunch of them?
D&T Aquariums
I randomly came across this site and HAD to share, dont know if anyones seen it before, but they seem to have A LOT of good prices, specifically for plant ferts... 1 gallon of fert for 23.99.... you cant beat it...
yea, seriously. plus, i dont want to put more plants in, and the fry are gonna get transferred to a separate fry only tank. and i think it looks good the way it does, with out TONS of plants... but maybe its because i have a 55 gallon and a 5 gallon that are over planted...
Hey guys, i re-did my 10 gallon from an endler storage tank, to a fancy guppy breeding tank/paradise...
heres a pic of what it looks like now...
the substrate is eco complete, black gravel around the base of the driftwood, and a natural gravel pathway...
