- I have a freshwater tank about 80 gallons. I have a 3 year old butterkoferi that would kill everything I put in his tank! Until recently I threw in a 1/2' firemouth and 3 1' african cichlids. I noticed they made two weeks so I got a pacu, flowerhorn, jack dempsey, and a vieja synspilum. They are all the same size and seem to be getting along, for now!
