I’ll be going down to my LFS in the next few days so I’ll see what he recommends, I know I can get both purigen and carbon from there so I’ll have a look, thanks for the help.

So do you just put the purigen in the tank and it will help remove the tannins without it having to be in the filter?

My filter is smallish so I don’t think I’ll be able to fit any carbon in the filter, is there anything else I can do?

My two electric blue acaras are both healthy and I believe I have a male and female, over the last two days I have noticed that they will both swim round and then bite and the plants aggressively, this is the first toke I’ve seen them do this is it standard behaviour?

the water parameters are all checked and fine, they look and act fine but I have also noticed the larger acara has a white sort of tube that comes out from behind the anal fin. The tank is fairly newish and it’s all cycled.
