ah, why didn't i think of that? i'll try switching the actinic and 10,000k. edit: definitely the bulb.

When my 10,000K PC lamp turns on, I see a flash of yellow at the base of the lamp, but it doesn't fire up. It's only 3 months old and looks okay physically (no charring), thought it could possibly be the ballast?

nope, nothing's touching them. :( i have 96watt pc on a 15 gallon tall. could that be too intense for them? they were fine for the first few weeks and i didn't notice any bleaching or anything. :(

my button polyp colony hasn't been opening for the past few days. well...one half opens, the other hasn't been open for 3 days or so. my params are good, zero on all levels, and my other corals are doing fine. any ideas?
