I like the look it adds as well as the aeration, tho with two HOBs on a 20g I really don't need it. I hate the mess it makes on the tank top which i have to constantly clean. I have my setup on a UPS so I don't have to worry about power outages.

Someone said tetras are bullies, is that true? I had never heard that, I just started over with them. The embers seem mild-mannered, something is going on with the neons, one was killed.

Well, it's been a few days now and things seem to be settling down. The one fin-nipped neon died, but everyone now seems ok. They are eating together, I don't see any aggressive behavior - could it have been a fight between a couple of neons? I hope so. I can't even tell how to sex them...

Dwarf Gourami and platies. I couldn't keep them alive, SBD or Gourami disease or something. Love the look and activity, but not the mortality. Didn't know that was a live bearer thing, thanks for the tip I will avoid mollies, etc., too. I have barbs and tetras and otos.
