It's a special bonding agent and basically yes. The bond is stronger than the acrylic.

Not sure what u mean silicone is not used on Acrylic

I have 2 tunze 6055 on a 4 by 3 ft deep tank should I put both up high on opposite sides or one high and one low on opposite sides or both on same side one high and one low?
