Brother wants a 2.5 or 5 gal tank. Help!

Easy pets don't exist, but that's just my opinion. I love bettas, and they're such interesting little characters when they're in the proper home. I would not do less than five gallons for a betta if you really want to see them shine, and in a five you could put shrimp or snails or maybe african...

    90 gallon stocking help please!

The only site that I know about that seems reliable breaks the budget, and that's live aquaria. Do you have any other suggestions for websites? Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice

    90 gallon stocking help please!

So I've been trying to figure out what I want on my own, but with nothing of interest. Currently in my 90 gallon I have 1 three spot gourami, 1 Senegal bichir, and 2 Bolivian Rams. I want fish that will get along with all of the mentioned fish, and can be found at petsmart. Have a look at my...

    African Dwarf Frogs?

I would say 1- 1 1/2 years, however, if you get multiple shrimp and they live in good conditions, they will readily breed. Also, invest in a pre filter or sponge filter to keep any shrimp from being sucked into the filter. Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice

    African Dwarf Frogs?

Small baby ones are more likely to be eaten than a bigger one. However ADFs have terrible eyesight and are too slow to catch a shrimp. A betta however is more likely to catch a shrimp, but it also depends on the betta's personality Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice

    African Dwarf Frogs?

I've owned shrimp before and they're pretty interesting. However a wine glass would not be a good home for any animal. An established freshwater aquarium of at least 5 or more gallons with plenty of hiding places and a mature substrate are the ideal setup for Ghost Shrimp. It should be with...

    African Dwarf Frogs?

In anything smaller than a 20 gallon, I wouldn't have any other fish with a betta IMO. ADFs don't need a floating dock, and majority of the time you'll see them floating at the surface Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice

    African Dwarf Frogs?

They're not exactly difficult, just making sure they eat and don't get eaten. As well as making sure they can swim to the surface for oxygen. As long as your current tank meets their requirements, then why not Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice

    African Dwarf Frogs?

As long as there isn't a ridiculous amount of surface agitation, it's okay Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice

    African Dwarf Frogs?

A lot of surface agitation can freak them out, but similar to a betta or a little more will do Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice

    African Dwarf Frogs?

15 years is more or less the exception than anything. However with quality care an ADF can live 5+ years. Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice

    African Dwarf Frogs?

I've had my african dwarf frogs for about a year and a half, and they're still going strong. African dwarf frogs are amphibians, but they still need to stay in water 100% of the time or else they'll dry out quickly and die. ADFs are a little nervous and shy, and little extra work needs to be put...

    African Dwarf Frogs?

African dwarf frogs are adorable and get along with mostly all fish, however with large they will be dinner! My two frogs live with my betta and corydoras, and they get along fine besides the frogs nipping at everyone, but they will really do no real damage. Another thing is though is feeding...
