Hey, i struggled to get driftwood i liked from anywhere in the UK doesnt seem to be many online shops for us i just lucked out at my LFS but if you are coastal in Wales id recommend a beach trip.

As you say obviously water changes does impact the afformentioned water quality. And all factors of that i.e stocking, overfeeding water change quality etc will all have an impact on the fish you keep. But you can add tools to combat the water quality other than water changes with a really good...

Thanks all, yeah the ADF i was worried about but he seems to manage it well, hopefully this will continue! Should be picking up the rams at the end of the week! 1 male and 1 female a good place to start?

I had my RTBS in a 125L fine. I also stocked with an angelfish at one point swordtails, guppies, hatchetfish and yoyo loaches. Towards the end i had juvenile discus but i knew i was upgrading i would not advise that.

So for stocking im thinking (Including fish i have) 8 Hatchet fish (4 I have) 3 Yoyo Loaches 2 Skunk Loaches 3 Discus 1 Red Tail Black Shark A pair of Rams 15 or so Tetra's (Maybe Rummynose) Any ideas or suggestions and how stocked does this sound?

I think the whole point as Dennis im sure will agree is getting the discus to adapt to the new enviroment be it water changes or water quality over a period of time rather than quickly.

To keep the nitrates low but daily water cchanges with a high ph of water is bad for the discus from experience. I haven't done anything differently weekly 40% water changes. In my new tank though I have bought an ozone purifier by phillips which will keep the water in pristine condition. As for...

Yeah a few m$$ore plants will make them very happy. The discus look so much better now they have that big wood cove at the back right to hide in. I'm just unsure of what fish to put in =(
