    Sorry to hi jack this thread but a guy at a LFS here said a sump is a must for a tank, and I was saying I only wanted a 75 gallon FOWLR but eventually adding one or two easy corals. Is he right?

    cycling new tank

    The blue bulbs you speak of may very well be your actinic lights. They look just like black light 9well pretty much) however cover the spectrum needed for most corals. I think this is true.......... :roll:

    What did your cycle look like?

    Not sure about some of your questions as I have yet to cycle my first saltwater tank however I have read UV filters aren't needed and can actually kill off good bacteria in your live rock. Just a bit of useless info for ya :lol:
