Hi, I have a Brilliant White Hammerhead coral, but whilst it is growing well, it has darkened in colour to a light brown. Any ideas on why this would be or how to reverse this? I have good lighting (2 x 250w MH), and a calcium reactor working in the system. Thanks!

Can the PH be monitored/controlled through a system using a digital Ph meter/solenoid/calcium reactor/CO2 Bottle?

I'm checking my Ph in the evening with lights on. It has always been between 7.8 and 8.2, I cant seem to get it to stabalise between the 2 points. The temp is stable at 24degrees. The nem is alive, and seems to have picked back up slightly. I hope that with the lage water chage, I can get...

So... what a rubbish few days I've had! I think the nem retracting back was a sure way of telling me that something wasnt right in there, and I should have read the signs better...... After I wrote the above, I rechecked my levels to find that the Ph had spiked to 8.4, and that the NitrAtes...

I have- Ammonia- 0 Nitirates- 0 Nitrites- 0 Ph- this seems to fluctuate between 7.8 - 8.2 SG was also a little high- it was 1.026, I've gradually reduced it to 1.024

Hi, I bough the below nem from my LFS about 6 weeks ago, it was doing really well for the first 5 weeks or so in the tank, it's tentacles were fully extended it seemed to like its location. It moved itself into a new area of the tank, not too far from where it was, and over the course of 3-4...

This might seem like a weird question, but is it possible that my Chalk Goby is aiding the shrimps in hiding while they molt???? There are now 4 mounds of sand that the chalk goby has created, I'm just wondering if the shrimp are underneath them?? Clearly don't want to disturb them, but...

They were drip acclimatized over 2 hours, only had the cleaner shrimp for 3 days, and the fire shrimps 2 days. I'm not 100% that the bits floating around aren't molts, but would have thought that they would need to be settled in the new tank for a longer period than they have been before they molt?
