ok so I noticed yesterday my tank looked a little cloudy and today it wasn't any better, actually looked a little worse. it's a 30g tank with a penguin 150 filter. it's been cycled for close to 2 weeks now with 8 hermits and one lawnmower blenny. all my water params are right on no problems...

my blenny likes to rest on my powerhead. and is almost impossible to find when your actually looking for him lol

new addition as of yesterday. he really likes resting on top of my powerhead

yes it's normal. the sand will eventually settle. just give it a couple of days, atleast that's how long it took mine to settle

they seem to be doing good right now, really working on that sand and algae

ammonia 0 nitrite 0 nitrate 5-10 salinity was 1.023 this morning and mixing up a little salt water to add later to bring it up some.

new additions today. bought 8 hermits. acclimating them now

quick question. right now I have a hob penguin 150 and wondering if I should invest in a skimmer (hob, don't have room under or sump)? was looking at a reef octopus bh100 and just wondering how much I will actually benefit because it would leave me no room at all with the filter in the back once...

also will probably add about 10-15 lbs more rock

just trying to find a good water flow, experimenting with different angles of powerheads since my marineland one only goes left to right

day 5 ammonia 8.0 nitrite .25 nitrate 15.0 salinity 1.022 added ammonia yesterday so had a pretty big spike but it's already settling.

using a hydrometer right now. really not losing any from evap.
