Bay area california im gettin these from my yard but they are everywhere . Side of road , by the water i havent seen a yard without them and no pesticides.
Im aiming for crystal clear water. I love the pot idea its would look clean but that would cloud the water right? Even if i put sand cover on pots some dirt would escape from bottom of pot...is there anything else i can use other than dirt to pot a bunch of plants all over the tank?
Would marbles or clear rocks work the same? Im tryin different stuff. Or would java moss carpet weighted down with couple rocks work? Ideas people!!!!!

There are some types of moss that can soak up some algae. Depending on the type of light try having on for different hour out of the day, experiment a lil with it. Is your tank close to a window with light comming in? If no luck i have a set up i can tell u about that has to do with loose algae...
Just set up a 29 gal with no substrate only glass on bottom. With two 20 gal filters.. Alot of anubias and alot a neons . any advise about this has anybody done this and does the water goes bad after a while..do i really need substrate for micro orgs to grow and break down waist? Im aiming for...
I boiled it like 3 times for 45 min each time. The first time the water in pot was dark then the next two times it got lighter and lighter until it was light yellow then for the next 2 nightss i let it soak in my bathtub with hot water i got tired of waiting so long so i put it in tank ...and...
