Thanks for the identification guys. I can research him now. He's in a 32 gallon (4ft) tank. Do they like company of their own kind or aren't they bothered?

He's quite shy and spends alot of time between a rock and driftwood. Would also like to know if he would be less shy if I got one or two more for company? He's so beautiful it's a shame not to see him. Any ideas of what sort of catfish he is...?

Been to store and showed them the mangled mess of the plant. It's apparently semi aquatic and should poke out of the top of the tank so it can flower. It's my mollies fault why it's not growing as they've eaten it and the store wouldn't take any blame. That's he last time I'm going there!

Ah poor hungry fishies! It's tempting to feed them when they start swimming around the front when they see you. That sounds like a good idea especially as I'm still stocking my tank. Do you think it's ok to add every week as long as everything's good or would you leave it a bit longer?

Ok that sounds straight forward enough. Then when you do your monthly test if you need to do a bigger water change you can. Or should it be pretty stable with 10% weekly? Do you change before adding new stock or not?

Oh yes I get you! It could well have been put in the wrong place. I'm going to go there next week and just ask the name of it without making a fuss then look it up quickly, if its not aquatic, then make a fuss. I want them to do something about it if its wrong as eventually it will die most...
