the higher end tunze are made to turn on and off. They also use low watts which may have something to do with it. I am looking at a wave 2k right now I would love a pair of tunze on a multi controller but that tops 700 bucks

if you test 0 for phosphates it does not mean you do not have any. The phosphates can be in the sandbed and liverocks and leaching out. The Hair algae will use the phosphates before they can reach the water column therefore phosphates will not come up on the test. I just had a bad hair algae...
