I've lost 2 fry. They looked weak and didn't make it. All the others are looking very healthy and swimming around. I still have them in the breeder. I'm not sure when might be a good time to move them.

Wow! I thought she was about to bust last night. I put her in the breeder and woke up to 36 new platy fry. Now to move them to their tank. Is there any easy way to do this while keeping stress minimal on the fry?

Just a simple Tetra Whisper. No its not milky cloudy, its just got "stuff" all over the place that makes it cloudy. I do have issues with the side of the tank. Its a recycled tank, and every other side is cystal clear. If you look through that one side, everything looks milky cloudy.

I'm such a :n00b:, but I want to make sure I'm doing everything correctly. I have a HOB filter, it has the pad with carbon in it, and the sponge. I've been changing the pad and carbon weekly with the PWC and rinsing the sponge in the removed water. Is there anything I need to look for to...

Ok cool. Yeah, Im working on getting a small tank setup. I have 5g, which is really pushing it, but I think it may work. I hope to have it setup and cycled by her next drop.

My old HOB filter died last night. I ran out and grabbed a filter for a 40g tank. Is this too much filter for my 29g tall? I have it set on high flow and when I feed I drop it to low to make sure the fishys get some food.

She's been preggo for about 3-4 weeks now. Yesterday she was hanging out in the corners of the tank, being very still. She's huge! So tonight I put her in the breeder, which she doesn't seem to enjoy. How long should I keep her in there in case she doesn't drop?

Just had the wife check. It is a florescent light. Would I just need a higher output bulb or a new light strip?

Any specific recommendations on equipment?

The tank is a 29g tall. I had my suspicions on the light in the first place. But when most of my aquarium stuff was free, I can't complain. I'm not 100% sure on what type of light it is, but I will most likely say it's an incandescent light.

I have a java fern I would like to move. Its been in the tank for around 4 months. I have crush coral as the substrate. Would there be any issues with moving it (same tank, different location) and disturbing the roots?
