Well I have a 55 gallon tank that I was using to house them when I had a ray in my 100 gallon and there has definitely been some breeding going on every week or so I see another small one so they have to be breeding somehow. There was only 10 or so in there and now there's about 20 maybe 25.

The water seems to be in better shape and the smaller discus are eating like hogs. I am guessing this is the end of my discus hobby because I cannot afford to purchase water from a store nor have the time to do so. I have been making my own beef heart and trying to save as much money as possible...

Build yourself a sump. You'll be glad you did. Only thing you'll need is a pump and overflow box. I have a 30 gallon sump on my 100g tank and it stays crystal clear super overstocked with 13 discus clown loaches fire eel and even a stingray!

My store in jax had a pacu once was interested but I wouldn't be able to stand watching it mangle other fish. Oscars or jack Dempsey would be good. Electric blue jack Dempsey is cool looking.
