My balloon Molly (Comet) has swim bladder. Usually my boyfriend handles the sick fish because I am to busy freaking out about it. However this time I didn't have a choice. I put peas in there with her. Anything else I can do to help?

How do Molly Fry develop? If the dad is a sailfin lyre tail and the mother is not. Will the babies be born showing a sailfin or lyre tail immediately or is that something that will develop overtime?

We actually have two breeder nets so we can clean them out easily. And we have some newborn fish food that we already put in therefor them. We actually were expecting them a couple of weeks ago but we suspect the fish aborted the fry and another fish just happened to have them today.

I am the other owner of this tank an yes we got them all from the same tank at the same store. Sadly the guppy suddenly seems to be dying. I placed him in the breeder net when I got home from work. But he wouldn't even swim away from the net. He just seems to have given up.

How do you tell the sex once they get big enough?

That's exactly how much my store sold him to me for and he's definitely worth it. He's only about an inch long but i can't wait until he gets bigger

Okay I got a cherry shrimp yesterday and we haven't seen it since we put it in the tank. The biggest fish we have is a dalmation Molly that's about 3.5 inches. Is if possible he could have eaten it??? We literally can't see him anywhere but he was only about .5 an inch long.

Even more awesome news!! It's confirmed it is a pleco!!! It's a calico ancistrus!!!

So I have decided that the way the fish acts, moves and looks that it is some sort of a pleco. Does anyone else agree that it looks like one????

His fin is there just kind of hard to see in the picture. He's only about an inch long right now but I'm expecting him to be about 6-8 inches by the time he's grown. The store we got him at is extremely good with fish and they said he would get about 6 inches and that they rarely ever got them...
