I have same size display and sump and use the standard aqua c remora with mj1200 and it is working very well and very quiet. Shop around and even look on ebay and you'll save even more.

The rock where they were is still in same position. Only sign they were there is lack of coraline where they used to be. Otherwise, not a trace.

Forgot to answer Steve-S's question about feeding... I'm feeding the following: frozen brine shrimp, frozen veggie/seafood with caulerpa algea, some flake, and green seaweed from a clip.

I'm doing 10% water changes about every two weeks. Replacing evaporation with RO/DI water (about 1/2 gal/day). I may need a new amonia test kit as mine has never zero'd out and never gone above the .25 coloration.

What purpose does the eggcrate serve - just to keep livestock from jumping out? Does enough light pass through this material to be considered negligible? My coralife pc has a plexiglass shield over the bulbs so I can do as lando does - clean that instead of a larger piece of glass.
