Cool Beans! :o Very nice movie. Enjoyed it very much. Nice set up, very clean. Love the maroon clowns and yellow Tang, nice contrast. BTW did I spy a Dragon Wrasse? (The black and white fish in the beginning - not the Domino Damsel)

I recently added a hermit crab (don't know what kind - LFS don't know either - I live in Malaysia it's often like that here...lol) into my reef tank. It does an excellent job of cleaning up but after a few days I had to move it to my smaller tank because it was clambering up and knocking over...
My skimmer is working but it doesn't seem to be skimming i.e. not foamy stuff is overflowing into the cup. It worked before and I suspect maybe the water level inside the 'whirly' part is too high/low? Where should the correct level be? ( I don't have the instruction manual)
Is there a...

What's a planted refugium?
What do scallops eat anyway? Am I supposed to feed it? I put in spirulina/plankton tablets regularly into the water, will this sustain it?
thanks

Hi
I just read about 'night diving' by fishfreek. AT night I turn off the lights but usually leave the actinic light on. To do 'night diving' do the actinic lights have to go off too? (And all lights in the room?)
Thanks

Hi
1) I have a fish and reef Aq. that's a few monts old and I recently set up a 60g FOWLR. I was advised to use water and coral sand from my reef aq. in the new one to speed up the cycling. I didn't have enough sand to transfer over apart from a couple of cupfuls to 'seed' the tank and I...
Hi
I have a new 50g marine aquarium just set up and will cycle for about a month. in the meantime I'm wondering what kind of fish to get for it.
1) I assume I can only put in about 7-9 small fishes. Can anyone suggest different fishes that 'get along' together or what to avoid.
2) I'm...
Hi I recently got two yellow Tangs and i've seen them eating the algae in the tank, but they don't see to go for the pellet food. I'm worried that they'll get undernourished. Is there anything else that I should be feeding them like normal bits of lettuce or something?
I also provide the...
well I have this dark green or brown algae that's kind of like thick cobwebs growing. Is it harmful? I haven't got any algae eating animals in there at the moment. Had a lawnmower Goby before but it never touched that stuff anyway. Had a parrot fish that kept the rocks really clean but got...
Hi
I found this product called algone that is suppose to be very good for getting rid of and controlling growth of algae in the aquarium (www.algone.com). Has anyone ever used this product and what is your experience of it?
Thank you. :)

Hi
I've been told hair algae is very destructive in a reef tank. Where can I find a pic of it to correctly identify it? A lot of algae looks 'hair-ish' to me.
Thanks
