    Reef Rock - Anyone Try This Out?

    Painting the rock seems like it would clog the natural pores in the rock and make useless for biological filtration.

    Well, I dont think I'd want to have one in my tank because I think they are ugly. Regardless, they are filter feeders, I dont know if they will get enough food in your tank, and if they dont, they will all die off. How big is your system? Can it handle all of the barnacles dieing in close...
