So do you suggest more frequent water changes?

I have a Topfin 30 filter Plants sound like a good idea I have one in there now hit looks like I need more. I have been doing frequent water changes but that do looks like I need to do more frequent.

I removed the cartridge , raised temp, salt, put in meds....fish seem robe more stable at this time. Keeping fingers crossed.

Can I put the same filter back in or replace it when ready

The fish store said to take out the filter should I do that? I put In salt and raised temp ... The fish seem to be swimming erratic ... Should I be worried

Water test showed high ammonia yesterday, did a 5 g water change yesterday afternoon.
