Nah I don't have them quartentined? Cause they are so skittish i think my quartentine will just be way too small for them and try are either going to end up stressed or hurt them selves, I will give them a couple of days then move the scaleless fish then treat with salt I think... Any idea what...
Thanks, two of my silver dollars have developed this white spot, it doesn't look like cotton wool disease, seems to be a fungus, I have treated with melafix and pimafix for a week now, I've only seen slight improvement in the last day.
An someone tell me what the process is with putting rock salt in my freshwater aquarium to treat general illnesses , also is it ok for scaleless fish like clown loach , or ghost knife
Thanks for that. I have researched both and I still can't work out what it is.. I can't see anything with pics similar. I think I will try an antibiotic
Use white spot medication , but make sure u follow the instruction for scaleless fish, it's usuall half the dose. My clown loaches have had it a few times, and they seem to be prone to white spot. I fear though that it may be too late if they have had it a while but good luck
Hi
I have 5 silver dollars in a 260ltr. Two have developed what looks like fungus spots. The first one that had it, the spot actually peeled off him leaving a gash, it healed really quickly but it's now darker than usual. The white stuff seems to growing from under the scales.
Tank has been...
Maybe you could so it during the summer months and either have a heater or move them inside for winter. Average lows for winter in st kilda is 7-8 degrees. They would look so much better than Goldie's but I think is a risk.
Is your guppy tank that u have now without a heater outside though? I live close to Melbourne and my horse troughs occasionally freeze over in winter (top only) surely that would be too cold for guppies
Fed guppy fry,
water change and gravel clean in 260litre, admired my angel fish wrigglers,
said goodbye to dead blue ram:(
Did a water change in angel egg tank. Moved some angel wrigglers to grow out tank (in a hatchery)
Cleaned floor after losing control of my suction hose.
Or have your angel pair in their own tank.
I have a pair, this is the 4th time they have laid, each lay had been better than the previous and I am really hoping for fry this time. Good luck
My angels have just paired up to. They are laying every 10-14 days and each lay I'm having less white eggs. Practice makes perfect :) lay one was eaten, lay 2 all white, lay 3 15 wrigglers and they died. Lay 4 like 100 wrigglers. Good luck
