I actually just ordered a finnex ray 2 that’s suppose to be high lighting with high par for my tank. I have a 55 gallon. Do you think this light will be enough by itself or should I use the light I have right now (it’s basically for low light) along with the new finnex? Thanks for all the advice...

So I’m planning to carpet pearl weed in my tank and have planted 4 individual bunches of it. I’ve heard that it’s best to trim aggressively in the beginning to teach the pearl weed not to grow vertically but to grow horizontally and carpet. Anyone have any experience with this?

Fluval 2.0 looks good for $185. You think it’s worth the investment? You think I’d be able to carpet with it while also injecting co2?

How do I find out which have 50+ par? Can you recommend one to me?

I have a glass diffuser and reactor already. I’m buying a few powerheads to get better circulation throughout the tank. I guess I’m just going to invest in the finnex planted 24/7. I don’t have that kind of money to spend $500+ on lights.

Do I need high light though if I want to carpet and have a lot of plants? Could you recommend one for me if I do?

Seachem Clarity. Do the recommended dose. Within two days you’ll be clear maybe even less. My tank was black after I started a dirted tank. The morning after I used it it was all but gone. It was amazing
