Right now I'm on a dusting alkalinity and calcium. Keeping my levels between 420-440. And my alk at 10. I haven't checked my magnesium yet. But isn't that something you don't have to does daily.

I'm going to see exactly how much calcium my tank is taking and then possibly if it's taking too much I'll start dozing magnesium so I use less calcium. That's what the guy said at the fish store.

My tank is 150g. Every 2 days my calcium drops from 420 to 400. I just got a dosing pump and would like to know if this is possible and how I would do this.

i'm currently using seachem reef advantace calcium, in the powder form. I was wondering if I could mix the 500 gram bottle into a jug of ro/di water and dose it like a two part? versus mixing in water a little at a time. will it loose it's strength being mixed up and sitting in a jug? How would...
Found this on Craig's list for 300 for the tank. Less then 2 years old in awesome condition. It's a 150g dual overflow. Not a scratch on it. http://i.imgur.com/nmIDE8X.jpg

So all I have to do is have 2 1k resistors inline to drop the voltage to half. Is this 2 per 10v channel or 2 on one channel. Because I have 2 10v channels I need to divide. Lmk.

The kick ick can be used for both fresh and salt. The garlic also can be used as well. It will boost there immune system to help them fight it. You can tackle it the same way. It it doesn't stay in the tank after its gone then that's a plus. I have both fresh and saltwater tanks and I keep my...

From my experience I would get it Kick ick also get garlic and put that in with the food because it boost their immune system. I used it in my saltwater tank because my yellow belly hippo tang had gotten ick. Within seven days the ick was mostly gone. It will always be in the tank but as long...
I have a mag drivev18 it is a great, reliable pump. It all depends on headloss and how many gph your trying to turn over. I have a 135g with a sump and I have it turned down a little with a ball valve. Also for less head loss you could do flex tubbing.
