Ok I took a huge step today and ordered a brand new 120 gallon aquarium! It's the 48"-24"-24". I plan on drilling it when I decide on the box and and placement!
Any thoughts on a good company online to order a custom overflow box! I think I am going to do stand pipes for the silent operation.
It will be fine, but if it worries you get some apoxy so it won't crack any further and go on with the sys. I have taken them off and used the tanks before!
Is it new or new to you? The cracks won't hurt a thing, there mostly for beauty, you can get a clear two part apoxy and it will stop further cracking. But if its new, I would return it and get a new just cause thought of it!
I know my leathers seem to "shed" longer than most people say they should. Mine close up and get grey and white for a week or so every few weeks but when it come back to normal it's a lot larger.
Ok I bought a new 120 all glass aquarium that I am going to make my reef tank. I know I am drilling a three pipe stand pipe setup, my question is I have seen a lot of people do 1.5" or 2" bulbheads and plumbing, anyone have any Input. I would assume that the 2" would have more flow but how much...
It would help, but finding the cause for the algae is the sure thing. I would check the water you are buying to see how it tests. That's usually the cause of algae
Look in to using phosban ether in a reactor or put in a bag in the filter! Also if you don't mind a new addition to your tank a Sally light foot crab will do wanders on hair algae.
