ah...didn't recognize your tag again here :). Since it will be by itself, you can really take your pick of the colouration and variety you want. In general bettas are kept in most stores in those little bowls :/...look for one that you find appealing, but make sure that their body is smooth...

They are very protective of the eggs once they are laid. When mine first paired off, they killed 3 other angels and my pleco. They didn't seem to mind the otos, but everything else (including 2 other angels) were very tattered by the time I got home. In general "angel" is a misleading name...

I used to breed and sell mystery snails to three of my local stores. I moved and gave up my colony to a friend. I kind of miss it. My favourite are the ivory mystery snails. They have a beautiful white shell and a light pink body. They are really nice additions.
