You are understocked. Add more fish of the same species. Also it may take some time for them to get use to the environment. Give it a week or two but add more to their school. In a 70 gallon you can add like 20 or 25 fish of a particular species. Once they have a good school they will be more...
Thanks. Great points. I ll get a wave maker. I don't like too much water movement like air stones etc so I love the idea of a wave maker instead of an air pump with air stone. Thanks a lot.
I understand, its not an easy decision to make. Take your time and get the fish which gives you satisfaction as an owner. Something you see when you wake up and before you go to sleep. Everyone have different tastes so the most important thing for you to house what you love the most. For example...
Then you need some giant oscars if you want large south American cichlids. They grow huge and will look so awesome in your 130. You can keep a mix of Oscars and red blood parrots. Its always fun to feed Oscars. They are greedy.
Or else you can have a tank like nocturnal creatures. Fire eel...
Unless you are keeping some delicate species of caridina shrimps you don't need to worry about any of these numbers. Do not try to chase numbers. Do not add any chemicals. Keep using activated carbon as it helps in so many things really like taking out the tannins if any. Keep water clean and...
I have a 100 gallon African cichlids tank. If you want an aesthetic look and replicate your tank like saltwater you can go for a couple of frontosas. They are hardy fish and extremely gorgeous specially the blue zaire frontosa. Other kinds like brundi is also very beautiful fish. You can have a...
Don't want to hijack this thread but I have a question about water movement. I have a 100 gallon African cichlid tank. It has a canister filter and an internal filter as well but basically not too much water movement inside and its the surface agitation mainly. Shall I buy a wave maker. Fish...
200 watt is more than enough for a 55. Try to switch heater side and see if the fish now stay on opposite direction, if yes then it means one side is more warmer but if not then there maybe some other reason to why they prefer one particular side of tank.
Are these convicts or bumblebees or any other? I am having a hard time id these. Doesn't look convicts to me because they have stripes reaching to their faces but doesn't look exactly as bumblebees I seen photos on google.

African cichlids most probably. I seen this dolphin cichlid and fell in love with the dark blue color. Then some others which I never paid attention to looks very beautiful when they grow big. Seen some big cichlids at a store and I got very impressed by their solid colors. They looked like...
Is it ok to keep parrots with African cichlids? Who will be the dominating one and may bully others?*
I was thinking to keep a couple of African cichlids with like three large parrots. By large I mean large like little less than size of a hand. Its a 100 gallon tank. 150 cm length, 55 cm height...
