That's good at least I'm doing the right thing with removing the media.

I will leave the lights off then, my Lfs advised me to remove all media and run the filter without them is this the right thing to do?

Ok I will remember that, do I need to put the lights in during the day with the live rock and live sand being in the tank now?

Thanks for the advise, I maybe will consider a sump in the future but at the moment my budget is being used up with the setting up and live rock. I will sit it out with the water it's just so frustrating I have bought some live rock and can't even see it in there I guess it's all a big learning...

I think its a canister pump it has 3 baskets inside and a clip on lid if that means anything to you, I am totally new but trying to learn. Common sense tells me to add sand first but the Lfs man told me to do it this way :-(
