Yea well, DORKY me sent the wrong pic! And twice at that!
Here's a pic of the rock before... now the mushroom is completly covered and unrecognizable. It's just a lump of purple resembling the rock. Sorry about the quality of the pic. It was the only close up I had of the rock.

I have a really nice peice of live rock that is covered in coraline algea and a few small polyps. Over the past week I noticed the algea was starting to cover the polyp and before I knew it... no more polyp! Will coraline destroy anything it gets close to? Should I keep my corals and polyps away...
I'm new to the board and just started working my way around... I love the site and recently started to put pics on. I would like to see it stay and I'm waiting for Tims post to be answered as to "hoe to" put my pics in the contest!

Hey, I have one of those too then! I was looking at him tonight though and he even has what LOOKS like anteana on his sides like a cricket!! Does your's have them? His claws are close to the same size though.
He's cute though the way he is always falppin his fron appendages around!

Hello there experienced and avid reef keepers! Iam hoping someone can tell me how to 'trim down' over grown corals and polyps in my little nano and transplant them into a larger reef.
Some of my little polyps are starting to get to big and before I just started plucking them off I wanted to know...
The purple thing in the middle is a piece of live rock with coraline algea on it.
I had to take out quite a bit of the brown coral (tree coral?) because it was getting too big!
I have since added a really nice feather duster that sits and stares at me all the time. :lol:
We have a 10 gallon set...
